because i listen to a lot of audible when i paint and because i sometimes also go out into the world, when i needed a tltle for my show in providence i thought of all the cool names of towns and roads both in books and in brooklyn and around..'3 pines' is from inspector gamesh in rural quebec, 'broken harbor' is from a tana french book, 'twisted river' from john irving, 'vinegar hill' and 'gravesend', excellent names of brooklyn neighborhoods, 'lenape lane' my boyfriend's house upstate..etc, etc,etc
